The INNER WHEEL CLUB OF WOODBRIDGE

What is Inner Wheel?

Inner Wheel is one of the largest, worldwide, voluntary organisations for women. It was founded in Manchester in 1924, and has now grown to have over 100,000 members in more than 100 countries. Originally membership was restricted to wives of Rotarians, and this link is evidenced in the Inner Wheel badge which incorporates the Rotary wheel. However, then and now, they were two quite separate organisations.

Membership of Inner Wheel has widened over the years, and now is offered to all womenfolk of Rotarians (past and present), to female relatives of Inner Wheel members, and Rotaract members.

The Objects of Inner Wheel are:

1) To promote true friendship
2) To encourage the ideals of personal service
3) To foster international understanding

Service can come in many shapes and guises, to help both the local community, and more widely nationally and internationally. Through our actions we aim to bring hope and help to those in need, while at the same time enjoying friendship and fun with fellow members.

Clubs come in many different sizes. The Inner Wheel Club of Woodbridge is a medium-sized club with 30 members, and was chartered in 1950. New members are always welcome. Do come along and see how we serve our local, national and international communities. You will be very welcome.
