Woodbridge Rotary web site is very special, it is linked with the Official Woodbridge Rotary RIBI Site. This means when you click the links on the
left column you will transfer to the relevant page in the RIBI site. To return to this site use your browser Back button.
The reason for this is that we are able to utilise the sophisticated database driven RIBI Woodbridge
site (why re-invent a rather good 'Rotary' wheel) for events, meetings, membership/logins etc- but at the same time we can have the unlimited
flexibility of our own site under our own domain www.woodbridgerotary.org.uk to deliver more flexible content as well as to enable
search engines to locate us more traditionally. It is still under construction and a lot of work is still to do so check back regularly.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find the Web site ?
Type in the browser address bar www.woodbridgerotary.org.uk or just type 'woodbridge rotary' into Google
How do I Login ?
Just Click Members Login on the left, add your userid and your password
How do I use the email function ?
Login and go to the bottom left and Click on Email Club Members or Committee Members, you can select all or choose them individually. Before you do this though set up your own email signature
eg. YIR Fred Blogs - Treasurer by clicking on My Email Options Top Left. Add your email address, Signature and tick the options you would like. (Your email address is not shown anywhere.
How do I get members phone ad address details ?
Login and under My Club Click Members List.
How do I see the Club Minutes ?
Login and under My Club Click Members Only Pages.
Can I send my apologies using the site ?
Very easily and efficiently just Login and under Contact Search in the Members Area Click Submit Meeting/Event Apologies.
This is very good because in one click you can send apologies to all on a particular committee, or specify an individual, you do not need to even know email addresses or type your signature. You can do it in advance, late or even in the middle of the night. You do not need to make a phone call so it even saves you money.
How can I help the webmaster ?
Send him emails, minutes, reports, digital pictures (preferably no bigger than 400 pixels square and 1mb). If things change please tell the webmaster as this is really the only centrally updated point.
Why is the website slightly different on some pages and we seem to have 2 different home pages?
This is because we have our own website which is hosted on www.woodbridgerotary.org.uk and this links through to other pages which we host on the main RIBI web site where a sophisticated members database exists. This has big advantages
for members because it is integrated with other clubs information as well as district and national rotary matters. The webmaster has tried to match colours and style as well as possible but there will be minor differences but overall the user
shouldn't feel to much of a change.
Why do we need our own site when we can just use the RIBI site ?
This is partly to control our own destiny because we can only suggest changes to the webmaster of the RIBI site but he will only make those changes if they are needed by most people.
Most importantly however we need to be found by our members easily and the outside world who will try and find us by the obvious search term of 'woodbridge rotary' or 'rotary woodbridge' when using
Google or other search engines. Having the domain www.woodbridgerotary.org.uk and being the Rotary Club of Woodbridge gives us a big but genuinely fair advantage when Google uses its pagerank system. We also need to put up news and content in a more flexible way sometimes.
Why does the translation of the site seem to break down when you move from English to a second language and then to a third language ?
It doesn't. What is happening is you have translated into one language and then clicked a different flag and Google isn't yet clever enough to go from English to say Japanese to Russian in one journey. You must always go back to the English page first before attempting a second translation e.g. English to Japanese and then English to Russian not English to Japanese to Russian.
